Today, Matevz will continue to cross the Pacific Ocean. The planned route is long 11 hours, but we expect that the flight will be a little longer because of the Northwest wind. This time the stage is extremely difficult, because there is no island on the way where landing is possible. Correct planning is therefore extremely important and a little more stressful. When Matevz landed at Easter Island and re-fueled the aircraft he found that after an exceptional long flight there is still sufficient fuel... If we deduct unusable fuel, there was still 45 liters of fuel left - that is for at least two hours of flight. He demonstrated in practice that the airplane Pipistrel Virus 914 SW is excellent. For today's flight Matevz will require 214 liters of fuel andaccording to the weather conditions he decided to take additional 85 liters of spare fuel, which allows him an additional four and a half hours of flying time. Planirana pot je dolga 11 ur, vendar pricakujem, da se bo zaradi napovedanega severozahodnega vetra pot nekoliko podaljsala. Tokrat je etapa izjemno zahtevna, ker na poti ni nobenega otoka z letaliscem, kjer bi bil pristanek mogoc. Pravilno nacrtovanje poti je izjemno pomembno in zaradi tega nekoliko bolj stresno. Ko je Matevz pristal na Velikonocnem otoku in napolnil letalo z gorivom, je ugotovil, da je v letalu po preleteni izjemno dolgi poti ostalo relativno dovolj goriva. Ce odstejem neuporabno gorivo, je podatek, da je ostalo 45 litrov goriva, kar je dovolj se za vsaj dve uri letenja, neverjeten. V praksi je dokazal, da je letalo Pipistrel Virus SW 914 odlicno. Za danasnji let bo Matevz potreboval 214 litrov goriva in glede na vremenske pogoje se je odlocil, da bo s seboj vzel se 85 litrov rezervnega goriva, kar mu omogoca dodatne stiri ure in pol letenja. ekipa GLWF Jurček 23.02.2012 13:53:16 GMT

Vidim pa tukaj polno kritike medijev. Pravzaprav sploh ni tako slabo medijsko pokrito, letalstvo samo že samo po sebi pri nas ni tako medijsko zanimivo. Mediji samo delajo na principu povpraševanja. Roko na srce, razen nas, približno 0,18% ljubiteljev in zanesenjakov, to bolj malo zanima, to pač ni nogomet.
Sem pa na tehle straneh naletel na zanimivega gosta. Gospod Govanni Nustrini je v nekaterih letalskih krogih precej poznano ime, njegov oče Luciano je bil v Italiji poznan dirkač z letali. Letel je na F.8L Falco, s katerim se je smrtno ponesrečil na Novi Zelandiji, kjer je na koncu živel. Tudi Giovanni leti na Falcu. Hecen možakar, ima Falca, proizvaja Furio, prodaja pa Tecname. Pravi letalec. In prepričan sem, da, če bo potreboval, bo Matevž pri njem dobil pomoč.

Hi everybody,
after this epic and demanding flight to Easter Island, today Matevž has had a day off. This was not really planed. But as he reported, it took him 5 hours to refuel the tanks with fuel, and this disabled him to start another long flight to Totegegie in French Polynesia,. But he is flying again tomorrow and expected departure is at 13.00 UTC. The flight is about 11 h long and Matevž will fly about 2595 kms.

Pozdravljeni vsi, današnji počitek je bil nekoliko nenačrtovan, a zagotovo dobrodošel. Dolgo tankanje bencina, ki mu je vzelo kar 5 ur, je preprečilo, da bi danes nadaljeval pot naprej do Totegegie v Francoski Polineziji. Venar jutri smo ponovno v zraku. Začetek ob 13.00 UTC. Polet je dolg 11 ur in razdalja do Totegegie je 2595 km.
Sledite nam tudi jutri in vsem skupaj prijeten počitek, še posebej pa Matevžu.

Vesel sem, da živim v tem času, ko naš Matevž postavlja nove meje človeške sposobnosti - saj bi brez problemov , ki jih ima Matevž , težko vzdržal na enem sedežu 15 ur in več brez možnosti, da se malo sprehodim in razmigam. Just short info today as internet works just from time to time. Refueling took 5 hours today so was late for Totegegie as there is no lights on runway. Expect departure tomorrow at 13.00 UTC.

Vecina drzavljanov slovenije se gotoveo ne zaveda velikosti tega podviga v globalnem merilu. Na zalost so bolj aktualne novice se vedno ,kaj je imela Ceca za zajtrk v njenem "hausarestu" ali pa novica o rojstvu Aleksandra doli v Splitu. Strinjam se z Mitjo (PIR), da bi bilo lepo kaj vec slisat ali prebrat v medijih. Mogoce bi tudi sponzorji lahko bolj kapitalizirali na tem podvigu, saj je v njihovo korist.

Spoštovana-i LB! Nazaj dni sem zapisal nekaj o sramoti na raču TVS in tisto sramoto vzamem nazaj. Kaj nam ostane? Nespretni izgovori in opravičevanje. Ko zainteresirani išče vest, info. o ta trenutek za vse nas zelo pomembnem dogajanju onkraj našega sveta, vas skoraj ni. Ljudje, različno vešči dela z računalniki /starejši manj/ morajo po vaših, zagotovo dabronamernih priporočilih odtipkati za nekaj abeced znakov, da jih napor pripelje, kam? Naj bo časopis MMC ali karkoli drugega, zadostoval bi vstop v medij, drobna slika pod naslovim dogodka /GLWF/ na prvi strani, en klik, potem je pa čisto vseeno, če se ta takooo iskana novica, članek ali poročilo nahaja na drugi, peti, zadnji strani. Kaj naj "zmatranim" a zainteresiranim pomeni - pojdite na w.w.w. 2 cos5c2.//pAngg - , da si naprej ne izmišljujem? GLWF ne sodi pod avanture, gre za tehnično znanost. To letalo ni kar neki avijon. Skupek visokih tehnologij je na preizkuđnji in GLWF z ekipo strokovnjakov g. Boskarola sodi na prvo stran.

Si kar predstavljam, kako samotno je bilo tam zgoraj, ampak si predstavljam tudi, kako neskončno prijazna je bila tista tanka siva črta v daljavi in kako srečne so bile besede, namenjene stolpu na Velikonočnem otoku: Runway in sight!
