// Crossing the Internationa Date Line several hours before landing on New Zealand, Matevž will 'loose' one day, the one he 'gained' when he circled our planet in the opposite, eastern direction. :-). Paraphrasing Milan Kundera, we could label this as 'The Unbearable Lightness of Relativity'... Poul Brandrup (Denmark) 02.02.2012 08:39:35 GMT
Hi Bogdan, Yes I got the dates wrong, but I have enjoyed the beautiful photos of Rio. Looking forward to hear about Matevz' exploits today ....... Bogdan 02.02.2012 08:00:14 GMT
@Poul Brandrup (Denmark): Matevž's route on Wednesday looks very similar to the one he made the day before, at least in the coastal part. You may easily overlook that Matevž already left Rio yesterday and flew back westbounds to admire Iguazu waterfalls. Lara 7 let Vrtojba 02.02.2012 06:54:11 GMT

A ni ta naš svet čudovit, če ga s pravega konca pogledaš? Poul Brandrup (Denmark) 01.02.2012 22:18:11 GMT
Hi Matevz, Once again thanks for your detailed feed backs. Good to know that you at least will have an air excursion over the major attractions of Rio as you fly on tomorrow. I hope the weather forecast will hold and that you will have a smooth and sunny leg to the North. Better get used to the attention you get - it will increase over the coming weeks. No wonder more and more people will share their admiration of your endeavor and interest in your epic flight. All the best. Rok Cuderman 01.02.2012 21:51:01 GMT

In 1933 Bánhidi Antal hungarian pilot and aircraft designer with his Gerle 13 biplane made a long-distance flight of 12,258 km around the Mediterranean. Between 19 February and 24 March, he and Tibor Bisits visited twenty-two cities in Italy, France, Spain, North Africa, Egypt, Palestine, Turkey, and Greece, spending around 100 hours in the air. Later the same year,Later the same year, Bánhidi made a flight from Hungary through northern Europe to England and back to Hungary, his route taking him from Debrecen to Rapla, Helsingfors, Stockholm, Copenhagen, Croydon, and then non-stop back to Debrecen. This final leg of the flight covered 1,640 km, a considerable achievement in a light aircraft at the time.

Frank 01.02.2012 19:03:48 GMT

Hello Matevz & GLWF team,
We, as many other pilots, monitoring your flight everyday and wishing you all the best! I understand how it's difficult to pass through all bureaucratic barriers and fly everyday such long distances in different airspaces, unexpected weather condition and unknown terrain. Personally I did several challenges from Lithuania (EYVP) to south of France (LFBS) with small amphibian plane Super Peter. Of course, it is not comparable to your flight but I can imagine how it is difficult and in other hand so exciting!
I found the message form your team that GLWF project experiencing financial troubles paying huge taxes and fees. My company curently is not in very good financial shape but I would like to support your flight even with small donation from my company. I would transfer 1000 Eur. to your team account. I hope other pilots will follow me and help you as well! Keep dreaming, keep flying!
All the best from AEROSHOP.EU team Domen Grauf 01.02.2012 10:17:50 GMT
@Anonymus: Thank you for your proposal, we'll surely into account. Anonymous 01.02.2012 10:03:18 GMT
I see in the comments that the expense is starting to add up with many costs higher than expected. I would like to suggest somewhere to donate to the flight to keep everything running smoothly. I would like to make a donation to be a part of the flight, perhaps you can have a program where donations over 500 euro/dollars get a free copy of his next book or something. Jože 01.02.2012 10:01:16 GMT
Ups, vsi skupaj (glavni junak Matevž, ekipa in spletni spremljevalci) smo malce prehitri. AOPA 01.02.2012 09:48:32 GMT

Živjo, Matevž! Spočij si živce in vse lepo v nadaljevanju. Pozdravček z veliko pozitive !! Domen Grauf 01.02.2012 09:01:21 GMT
Bogdan 01.02.2012 08:30:25 GMT

Čudovito in neverjetno.
Zdaj letite mimo tega kraja in naprej navzgor okoli
Zemlje v Boscarolovem superletalcu,fantastika!
Naša molitev je z Vami,Bog Vas čuvaj in veliko lepega in
veliko sreče!

Just to remind us-it's 83 years now while also Slovenian pilot made a historical 1st interconti flight from USA to Porto Alegre and back. You'll fly cloce to
