Hi everybody,
many thing to solve out, so always behind the schedule. Actual position of the aircraft is Jacobs Well, small grass airfield where Michael Coates, Pipistrel dealer for Australia and US has his base. Today we have to see what is going on with faulty alternator and unfortunately bad weather came into area, so keep you informed about further plans shortly.

Uh, upamo da bo vse uredu z alternatorjem. Matevz ima res polno letalo elektricnih pripomockov, glass cockpit...

Hi all again. Unfortenutelly the alternator stopped working, so Matevz switch off the tracking, which quite an electric consumer. He flew towards airport, where is Michale Coats, there he also search for possibilities to repair the alternator. The oriceeding of the flight is quite weather-dependable. From here he will fly to the airport YBCS, where they should get the new Stormscope on Tuesday, and replace it with the one which is not working. From Australia he will move to Indonesia!

Pozdravljeni še enkrat. Žal je nehal delovati alternator, zato je Matevž izkljucil track, ker je
to elektricno velik porabnik. Prestavil se je do Michaela Coatsa, kjer isce moznosti popravila alternatorja. Nadaljevanje poti bo precej odvisno od vremena. O tukaj bo letetel do letaliÅ¡Äa YBCS , kjer naj bi v torek dobili nov Stormscope in ga
zamenjali.POstopama pa proti Indoneziji.

Domen,kaj se predvideva, kaj planira, kdaj naprej,. Malo ali pogosteje najvstrajnejÅ¡e puÅ¡Äate dostikrat brez odgovorov. In kaj postaja spletna povrÅ¡ina, morda prostor najpametnejÅ¡ega sl.letalca.Ali se da, zdaj v drugi polovici dokazati svetu, da zmoremo, zmorete z zacetno eleganco pripeljati stvari do konca. Verjamem, da Matevž ves Äas temu sledi. Pa srÄno.... Matevž!

To all who are wondering where Matevz moved. As Michael suggested previously, he took a short flight to YJCW Jacobs Well (Heck Field) airport which is Michael's home airport and where he can offer Matevz hangar etc. The coordinates of the airport are: -27.767583, 153.339425.///// Za vse, ki se sprasujete, kam je Matevz odletel. U bližini zadnje pike GLWF ( 5-6 km) se nahaja letaliÅ¡Äe Heck field. Ali je mogoÄe da je Matevž tam pristal.LP.

Lep pozdrav in iskrene cestitke za osvojitev Avstralije. Pricakovali smo te v Canberri z majhno pogostitvijo ob osmih zvecer. Vreme je zal hotelo drugace. Mogoce se enkrat srecamo v Sloveniji. Zelim ti srecno pot se naprej!

Matevz maintains 1500 on downwind can't see him yet but only minutes away... Just got him in sight in gliding dust, now cleared runway 14 going to parking bay 16' now cleared to land and turning final. He will land and be taken from the plane to the customs area for paperwork this will take 30 minutes!.. On late final....holding jets for his arrival, A320 x 2. Now landed, taxi alpha will see him soon

Anyway, congratulation for another great achievement. I hope you will enjoy QLD and in particular Great Barrier Reef. Don’t forget to do some diving wail you are in Townsville.

He is talking with ATC now and will shortly be changing to tower at gold coast. Customs are ready and so is immigration to do the necessary clearance which takes about 30 minutes. Then he will be free to travel in Australia, I am suggesting a short 20 minute flight to YJCW Jacobs Well which is my home airport and I can offer him a hanger etc. getting close and I think this is the last of the big ocean crossings he has to do. Weather is good, cloudy but no rain and around 32 Celsius and steamy

Well done and God speed as you continue on your journey westwards. an amazing undertaking in such a small aircraft.
If you get the opportunity the book "Flight of a Kiwi" by Cliff Tait is an account of his trip around the world in 1969 in an aircraft about the same size (Victa Airtourer)powered by a 115 HP Lycoming engine. None of the nav aids or electronics of todays aircraft. Great read and would be worth a comparison.
